Random stuff including an etching :P

Hey everyone!!!!

I've been up to a lot lately including back to etching! If you remember the photo I posted here a few weeks ago about an image that appeared on the altar, here is my etching rendition of it :D This is just the first proof, I need to work on it some more as well as do the aquatint for it. Etching is a very fun process that involves using soft ground, hard ground, or dry point on a copper or zinc plate. If you're using either grounds you need to etch the zinc or copper plate in different acids for some time (20 mins for zinc; also if you leave it too long in acid it'll start to bite a little here and there like small little marks). After it's etched clean off with mineral spirits and alcohol then you're ready to pull prints! I plan on touching it up a bit more, not sure if I want to do it dry point or soft ground again. I do want to do aquatint after which is going to give it the shadow/color effect!

Here's a choker that I finished all pink :D

That's it for now! I have some fall cards to post up for next time!
Take care everyone and God bless!!!

Something I wanted to share :)

As a Christian/Catholic we're all called to be witnesses and testify about miracles. Here is some miraculous that I saw this morning at church and after sharing it on facebook and seeing how others saw the same I would like to share it on here to so that others can see it!

As I was praying and looking up at the altar I saw that the shadow of the flower bushels formed the three Wise Men (it looks like the first King is standing up, the middle one is about to prostrate and lowest one is already kneeling down) and Baby Jesus to the side of them. I hope this image inspires us especially for this upcoming Advent (begins right after Thanksgiving, time goes by fast!). God bless you all and have an amazing Sunday!!!

An ankle bracelet, or a regular bracelet!

I love to make bracelets to match the necklaces and earrings that I make! Sometimes I buy small strands that are just enough for a single bracelet, or I buy chunky beads and showcased them with smaller beads for fun.
Normally after I make bracelets such as the ones above, I wind up with several extra beads. And half the time I don't know what to do with them! They are too big to go on a card or to be used as scrapbook embellishments (I really need to take photos of the old 12 by 12 albums I used to do lol). Sooo instead I clump together several similar shades and make a charm bracelet :D
For this one I thought of creamy fall colors, so all of the leftover beads went in here!

For this one I thought of the ocean and I threw in several shades of leftover blues!

Speaking of bracelets this reminds me of a Doo Wop song by the Pyramids!

Seaport mini album

Good morning everyone!!!

Hope everyone is having a blessed morning!! Here are some pages I scrapped up of our visit to the seaport :D I like to keep scrapbooks a little simple, with more emphasis on stampings, I don't like to layer too many things like I do in cards lol I used some gold embossing powder that I bought at Gary M. Burlington in MA at a convention last year along with some red orange with gold glitter from Michaels. What I learned from Pinterest is that you can use a used dryer sheet instead of  buying an embossing buddy so that the images don't come out spotted. I've only had the spotting problem with black embossing powder, all of the others have come out fine thank God! The only spotting I like is with white, it looks like little snowflakes! I also used rub ons on most of the pages, they were too cute! It's hard to see in the photos but I'm wearing one of  my polka dot dresses :D (I'm looking forward to looking through old photographs throughout the years to see if I can make an all polka dot album, I've worn polka dots forever it seems lol!), while my hubby(now ex) is wearing a sailor hat. I thought it would look really good on him and of course it did!

One of the most wonderful summers :D (shortish scribbling plus 3 necklaces)

This is another one of those necklaces inspired by Audrey Hepburn :D

Here's another inspiration! I actually forgot to put the ring in this photo, let's see if I can put a tutorial on that soon! I've been meaning to try to do some tut's but once I get started I forget to take pictures!

This pattern I got from a Beading book that I bought from www.Hamiltonbook.com Request a catalogue you'll find great things there!

Till next time! I'm currently working on the seaport scrapbook! Will hopefully have that done with some pictures along with some cards that I need to make! God bless you all!!!

Let me be your teddy bear :P

Hey everyone!
I love Teddy bears, so I was inspired by this awesome song by Elvis:

I decided to create this necklace! I bought the little teddy cameo from ebay and the beads are all glass from Michals.

Here's a closeup of the little cutie :D he also wears a crown, I think thats symbolic for the king of rock and roll lol!

This is something else that I've been working on! The stamp is from Joanns, Crafty Secrets. I'm pretty sure although no name was on the stamp that I saw, that it is the Dolly Dingle doll. I have several paper doll books of her, you might also call them the "Campbell Soup" kids lol! I did these cards for several people that I know that are hospitalized and/or have had surgery. A card is a nice way of saying I'm thinking of you and you're in my prayers in your time of need! Send a card and a prayer to someone who is in need of some cheering up and a little love today!
